Pastor Marshall was ordained in October of 1957. His educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry. After a decade of pastoral service in Southern California, he was endorsed by his denomination to serve on active duty as a military chaplain. After a year of combat service in Viet Nam, he came off active duty in 1975. Suffering from bouts of depression, for the last three decades he has endeavored to search the Scriptures for positive principles he could turn into a life style of praise. His mission has been to “declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9 MV).
Out of this struggle with depression have emerged two books: Turning Problems into Praise and The Christ of Miracles and the Power of Praise. In both these books Pastor Marshall seeks to find insights that can provide the spiritual ammunition to shoot down gloom and doom and keep the flag of joy flying high.
Other books are planned for the future such as, Praising God in Green Pastures and through Dark Valleys: Comfort in Crisis from the 23rd Psalm and Launching into a Life-Style of Praise with the 10 Commandments.
